In the early 2000s, Jenell ran a cinematography service in St. John's, Newfoundland for private individuals who wished to have their own personal sex tapes. She then worked at The Cotton Club Gentleman's Bar for several years as a bartender, DJ, door staff and stripper liaison. She moved to Toronto in 2012 and is now a full-time nanny, an author of short fiction and travel books, an Egyptology instructor and a maker of short films.
